St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador – Vulcan Minerals Inc. (“the Company” – “Vulcan” TSX-V: VUL) announces that it has participated in a private placement by Red Moon Potash Inc (TSX-V:RMK) in the amount of $200,000 consisting of 4,000,000 units at 5 cents per unit consisting of one common share and one half common share purchase warrant with each whole warrant exercisable into one common share at a price of 10 cents for a period of two years. Vulcan now owns 66.60% of the outstanding common shares of Red Moon or 67.23% if the warrants are exercised (without further dilution).
Red Moon is engaged in the exploration and delineation of a salt/potash deposit in western Newfoundland. It is currently preparing a National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource assessment report for the Captain Cook salt deposit. The Company currently owns approximately 67% of the outstanding shares in Red Moon and a 3% royalty on the project lands.
